This week we learnt all about ‘Whole Body Listening’. Students completed a cut-and-paste to consolidate their learning. Piper has done a great job following all instructions and decorating her work beautifully. Great job, Piper!

Students decorated a ‘mini-me’ picture to display in our line-up area. We spoke about our colouring in and doing our best to not leave any white spaces! Callum took on the challenge and his work looks fantastic. The resemblance is uncanny! Keep it up, Callum!

For our first week in Foundation students have been getting to know one another by interacting in play-based sessions, we call this Explore Time! Students can move around the room and choose to play with a range of different activities that are set up. They are encouraged to include others or to join in. You can see our students working together and having some fun.

This week our learning was all about school routines! One of the areas we focused on was ‘Whole Body Listening’ This is where we listen with many parts of our body, not just our ears! We watched the Cookie Monster show whole body listening, which the students enjoyed very much (so much they asked to watch it the following day)! Students then completed the activity where they cut and pasted all the ways to show whole body listening. Have a look at the wonderful work Sophie F did on her very first day of school!
