Performing Arts

This week in Performing Arts:

It has been wonderful seeing all the junior students again after a holiday break. They were all very keen to get grooving back into the new Performing Arts year. The children have been loving sharing their new favourite songs with me ranging from Metallica to Taylor Swift. They have enjoyed dancing to the 'mystery song' once again to begin Performing Arts lessons.

The Grade 2s were fabulous listeners as they contributed to a group art piece correlating to music tempo. They each drew patterns as different music pieces were played with differing tempos. I look forward to seeing the completed, coloured posters when finished next week. They already look amazing! I love how music makes everyone feel different ways, I can see this through their drawings. Outstanding job Grade 2s!
