We congratulate all swimmers who have made the St Simon the Apostle Swimming team for next year.
An Operoo form with the information of the District Interschool Swimming Competition will be sent out shortly. Dates and times for the before school morning training sessions will be advised in this form. We hope our team members can make the sessions so they are confident and capable of swimming their events.
If any students are unable to participate due to illness, injury or COVID based reasons, please contact Mr Karl Camerino so a replacement competitor can be arranged.

2023 St Simon Swimming Program
The school intends to ensure our students learn skills that are required for them to enjoy water-based activities in aquatic environments safely.. All programs will be at Paul Sadler Swimland, Rowville with qualified, trained instructors.
Year 2 and Year 4 Swimming Program: Monday 20th February 2023 - Friday 3rd March (10 day program from Monday to Friday)
Prep, Year 1 and Year 3 Swimming Program: Monday 4th September 2022- Friday 15th September (10 day program from Monday to Friday)
In addition, the Year 5 students will be involved in the Open Water Lifesaving Education Program on Thursday 23rd February. The day of learning creates ‘Everyday Lifesavers’ out of our students, by teaching them practical and engaging water safety, lifesaving and emergency response skills. The OWLE program is designed to empower students to make safe aquatic related decisions while enjoying their local waterway. Lifesaving Victoria instructors will conduct a 2.5 hour session with the remaining time used to engage in a range of “Nipper” beach activities.
The setting of our program will be at Hampton LifeSaving Club on Hampton’s forebeach.
Operoo permission forms with information for these programs will be sent out very soon.
