Grade 6's 'BIG DAY OUT' at Funfields

FUNFIELDS - Grade 6's 'BIG DAY OUT', 2022!!!
On Friday, the 9th of December the year six students jumped on a bus and travelled to Funfields! We were SO excited! We were celebrating our end-of-year big day out. We were even more excited when we found out Miss Steph would join us!
When we arrived at Fun Fields we had to find our meet-up position and get into groups. A few of us changed into our bathers, and we decided it was time for some fun. Maria, Nikita & I decided to go on the pirate ship! The ride goes backwards and forwards into the air. Maria and Nikita were really scared and thought they might fall out.
We then decided to go on Fun Fields' tallest water slide called the 'Gravity Wave'! This ride was so much fun, it begins slowly and gradually becomes faster... UNTIL there is a vertical drop! Just when you think it's over, you get shot up into the air. We could not stop laughing (and screaming!).
Finally, it was time for the scariest ride of them all! The Voodoo! It was so popular that we had to wait one whole hour to get on the ride. Once it was our turn, we were SO nervous. We sat down and were locked into our seats! The ride begins by slowly rocking side to side whilst rotating. With each swing, we moved higher into the air, until we were completely upside down, 20 meters above the ground! I think the year 5s could hear us screaming back at St Joey's!
Meanwhile, Oliver, Arjun & I (Kavin) had been swimming in the wave pool for most of the day. We loved diving under the waves and playing games in the pool.
When we finished at the Wavepool we decided it was our turn to try out the Gravity Wave. However, we had to wait 30 minutes in line. Because we were wet and the wind was so cold, Ollie thought he got hyperthermia! It was FREEZING. We couldn't leave the line as there were so many people behind us, so we decided to tough it out. Luckily, it was worth the wait. It was so much fun, Ollie had to go backwards in the big drop!
We then returned to the meetup spot and got dry. It was time to play Mini Golf! We had to move quickly as there wasn't much time left. Arjun got a whole in one and Kavin won the game!
At the end of the day, we were exhausted! It was time to get on the bus home. We had such a fun day and we feel very grateful that we had the opportunity to spend one of the final days of year 6 having fun with our friends.
We will miss you St. Joeys!
