Farewell Year 6

Year 6 Students

I stated recently in the Year 6 Yearbook that “In time you will look back on this year as a time knowing that you have been part of history”. Your final year of primary school has been the first year in several years that your time at school has not been impacted by the pandemic and the resultant need for remote learning.

The challenges and hurdles you have surpassed in recent years have exemplified the adaptability and immeasurable skills you possess and everyone who has had the honour to know you applauds and respects you to the highest degree.

You have achieved success in an environment like no other cohort has ever been subjected to.

The ongoing dedication to learning and the flexibly you have demonstrated since 2020 has been a credit to you all.

I would like to sincerely thank you all for your exemplary achievements both academically and socially.

Your positive attitude and demonstrated ongoing flexibility are a credit to you all as no other cohort of Year 6 students has ever had to rise above situations caused beyond anyone’s control.

I have been extremely impressed with your commitment to the school, the dedication to the roles and responsibilities you have demonstrated to entire school community.

A major highlight was the week at camp where they learned to survive without devices but also it gave them time to just be kids and to strengthen their friendship with each other. The students felt very confident with the move to secondary school, and they put this down to the ongoing commitment and care that all of their teachers had shown them.

I would like to sincerely thank our 2022 school captains as they have done an amazing job with every aspect of leading our student body. All our Year 6 students who have held Leadership positions have set the bar very high for future school leaders!

Tuesday, 21 December 2022 will be the final day of primary school for the Year 6 students but also many of our families.  Some families are leaving our community after a very long association with Beaumaris North Primary school.

This year we bid farewell to 54 school families, including: Abiuso, Armstrong, Attree, Basil-Howland, Baxter, Beaumont. Blaich,  Blampied, Borlenghi, Bunton, Callender, Cenusa, Chao, Ciganj, Clarke, Cornwell, Czarnota, Davids, Dowling, Edwardes, Eyres, Fenton, Gregor, Hamshare, Harris. Students Vs Teachers

The Year 6 students challenged the teachers to a netball game last Thursday. The students thoroughly enjoyed watching the rivalry between the teachers and students.  The teachers won despite the student's fierce determination to win.

Graduation

The Year 6 students celebrated their Graduation Evening last night in a spectacular style.

The night was thoroughly enjoyed by all the student's staff and family members.

Thank you to the parent graduation team for organising a wonderful event, that the students will remember for ever.
