On the BBQ Tools

 

In a demonstration of community-mindedness, FN Riggall (Prospect, SA) sales agent Bradford Stevens helped out on the Neighbourhood Watch BBQ at the Kilburn & Blair Athol Community & Employment Expo

 

This free initiative by the local council provided a great opportunity for people to meet local services and to engage with potential employers. Brad enjoyed chatting with many of the locals and cooked a ripper BBQ too! Well done Brad.

Police Veterans Fundraising Lunch

 

FN Westwood (Werribee, Vic) principal, Rob Westwood, attended the recent Police Veterans Victoria Fundraising Lunch

 

He was accompanied by Gil King (former REIV CEO), Adam Docking (former REIV president) and Ed Atkinson (FN Chief Operations Officer).

Taking a Freezing Dip to Fight MND

Paul Miles of FN King and Heath (Bairnsdale, Vic) recently participated in the Bairnsdale Football Netball Club’s Motor Neurone Disease (MND) fundraiser, with the event successfully raising over $92,560 for donations to FightMND for research. 

 

With merchandise sales and cash donations on the day, the event organisers anticipate breaking $100,000. The original goal was $40,000.

Swimming on the Spectrum wins FN Innovation Award

 

Swimming on the Spectrum  was the winner of the First National Real Estate Innovation Award in the 2023 WA 7NEWS Young Achiever Awards.

 

Swimming on the Spectrum of Oakford is committed to enhancing the lives of people living with disabilities. It was launched in July 2020 to provide inclusive aquatic sessions in safe, secure and supportive environments to children and adults with autism spectrum disorder, development details and other abilities. 

 

The organisation provides specially tailored sessions and a visual schedule designed with their unique abilities in mind.

Prioritising Health & Fitness

 

FN O’Donoghues (Darwin, NT) is prioritising health and fitness in 2023 so team members participated in the NTCity2Surf 4 km fun run.

Supporting Commerce

 

FN Springfield (Augustine Heights, Qld) principal, Neil Coupland is a long-term supporter of many initiatives in his community. 

 

He was recently recognised by the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, not only as its President, but as a regular member. Neil is very proud of his membership and when asked why he does it, he simply says ‘I love supporting small business and watching our community grow.’

Supporting the Doyles Art Awards

 

 

FN Mudgeeraba (Qld) is a platinum sponsor of The Doyles Art Awards, an initiative that aims to give back to community and do so in a way that fosters community connection and a sense of home. 

 

This is nothing new though, with Tod Scotman and his partner, Wendy Sheely (both Area Specialists with FN Mudgeeraba) having been the original sponsors of the event. They have remained actively involved in its sponsorship and advertising activities throughout the years.
