Our new Outdoor Learning Space

Over the holidays, Ballarat Ground Works came and upgraded our junior playground. This space has always been a concern for staff, being a dust bowl in summer and then muddy puddles in winter. This upgrade now allows for some outdoor learning and a nice space for students to play at recess and lunch times.

Thank you to Mr Shuttleworth for applying for and successfully getting the grant to upgrade this area.

Foundation and Grade 1 Swim/Gym Program

Last week the Preps and Grade 1 students commenced their 5 week Swim/Gym program. This water safety program gives all students the opportunity to learn how to swim and develop lifelong skills in water safety. The gym component allows the students to develop  their gross motor skills, while having a lot of fun with their friends.

Term 2 Lego Club

One of the many clubs students could participate in last term was the Lego Club. Lego Masters from TV was often discussed and different design challenges were tackled each session, with the final being a free make. Many great designs were adapted in the pursuit of 'maximum smashy-ness' as designs were sent flying off the runway (table) into the crash zone (beanbags and pillows).
