All parents of students enrolled at BPS are welcome to attend the Parent Forum and provide feedback and suggestions for the future, as part of our School Strategic Review process. These sessions will be held on
Thursday 27th July at 2.45pm and Friday 28th July at 9.00am. These sessions will be facilitated by the review panel and will host similar questions. School Council and Parents & Friends members are also invited to these same sessions.
This terms curriculum day will be held on Tuesday 15th August. Normally we try to attach our curriculum days to weekends, however, our presenter is only available on this day. The focus for this day will be around student engagement and wellbeing. Students are not required at school on this day.
Congratulations to Candice, who was drawn out as the winner of the firewood raffle. A big thankyou to everyone who sold and purchased tickets. The raffle raised over $1500, which will go towards the purchase of new blinds for the Art/STEM room and the 3/4C classrooms.
Welcome back for Term 3. As you can see by the calendar at the top, it is going to be another busy term. We have all our swim programs running this term, P-1 in the first 5 weeks and 2-6 in the last 5 weeks. Forms and costings for the 2 to 6 program will be sent home shortly, via XUNO.
Year 6/7 Secondary School placement letters will be sent home tomorrow with all Year 6 students. This letter will let parents know which secondary school their child has been accepted into for 2024 and beyond.
Just a reminder to our parents with students starting in Prep in 2024, all paperwork must be submitted to the school by Friday 28th July. This is a new Department of Education process. After this date, places may be given to students who reside outside of our allotted zone.
Next week, all students will be attending the annual Life Education program. Unlike other years, students will not be using the Life Ed Van, instead, the lessons will take place in a designated classroom area. The Life Ed program is subsidised, for all students, by the fundraising efforts of the Parents and Friends committee.
