Unleashing Creativity in Nature's Playground!
On the 5th of July, G2, G3, and G4 embarked on a memorable excursion collaborating with Nature Play SA to participate in a unique cubby building adventure.
Nestled in the breathtaking surroundings of the Belair National Park, our students immersed themselves in a real-world STEM challenge. Guided by Nature Play SA, they embraced the opportunity to utilise natural resources and their imagination to design and construct extraordinary cubby creations.
First, they created little homes for bandicoots as a practice run, foraging for natural materials before designing their project. Then they constructed larger cubbies big enough for them to sit in and eat their lunch.
Cooperation and resilience were the key as our students worked together, overcoming obstacles and achieving their goals. The excursion provided a perfect platform for
hands-on learning, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fun-filled environment.
The students had a magnificent day exploring and creating amongst the natural surrounds of the Belair National Park. They also spotted emu’s, koalas and kangaroos!
We look forward to more incredible experiences in the future.
