Illuminate the Night: Winter Solstice Celebration!

Date: Saturday, 24th June

Time: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Location: 10 Shirley Drive, Taradale

Step into the enchanting realm of the Winter Solstice as we gather to honour the longest night and celebrate the return of the light.   Just as Winter Solstice marks the longest night of the year, it also symbolises the return of light and hope.  Fire rituals will illuminate the space, reminding us that even in the darkest times, there is always a spark of light to guide us forward.  Together we will kindle the flames of positivity, resilience and renewed intentions for the rest of the year.

LANTERN MAKING

Indulge your creative spirit at our Lantern Making Station. Craft your own lantern using a variety of materials and personal touches. These radiant lanterns will serve as symbols of hope, illuminating the path ahead as we embrace the return of the sun's gentle rays (BYO candle, pure beeswax candles will be available for sale).

WINTER SPIRAL

A mesmerising self guided journey lovingly crafted from cypress and native foliage.  As you enter this sacred space, you’ll walk the spiral and feel the transformative power of the season as it guides you towards your inner light.  Release what no longer serves you, and make space for new beginnings and growth. symbolising the journey inward towards introspection and reflection.  The crisp winter air and earthy scent of the leaves enhance the sensory experience, grouping you in the present moment and inviting contemplation.

FIRE RITUAL

Witness the flames transform your intentions into energy, sending them off into the universe as you embrace a fresh chapter in your journey.  Experience the transformative power of the Releasing Ritual.

SOUP

To nourish your body and soul, indulge in a steaming mug of soup (BYO mug and spoon) lovingly prepared with seasonal vegetables, warming spices, and soul-soothing flavours.  Allow the nourishing warmth to spread throughout your being, bringing comfort and sustenance.

LANTERN WALK

As the night sky blankets us with its celestial beauty, witness the culmination of our celebration with a luminous Lantern Procession. Follow the soft glow of the lanterns as they illuminate the path, symbolising the light we carry within ourselves to sustain us through the winter months.

SOLSTICE STORY

Gather round as the winter solstice story is told.  Through the power of story telling, you’ll be transported to ancient times, immersing yourself in tales of celestial magic and the significance of the solstice.  This narrative weaves together tradition, folklore, and timeless wisdom of nature, reminding us of the cycles of life and beauty found within the darkness.

BONFIRE

As the night deepens, the bonfire takes centre stage, casting a mesmerising glow that dances and flickers against the sky.  Share stories, laughter, and heartfelt connections as we bask in the warmth and companionship of the Winter Solstice community.
