·         Year 12 Retreat

·         Solomon Island Immersion Trip departs

·         College Captains to meet the Bishop

·         VCE Examinations conclude on Friday 23 November.

And still much more to come, with Presentation Night, Year 10 Peer support training, and more SIS competitions.

Year 9 Camp

"On the 13th of November we arrived at Anglesea by ferry. I never know what to expect on camping trips, but speaking on behalf of the year 9s I'm certain that we all thoroughly enjoyed camp for a variety of reasons.

The activities we did were designed to build teamwork with a lot of physical challenges. It was with these activities that helped us all to bond together collectively one final time.

Over 4 days we did bodyboarding, journey, ocean kayak, river kayaking and much more. We went on nightly bush walks and even had a disco.

On the last night of camp we had a talent quest where everyone participated together to showcase comedic and musical performances.

Overall the memories made will last us a lifetime. Thank you so much to all of our year 9 teaching team and the other teachers who came on our camp to share this wonderful event."

Campus Assembly

The final campus assembly was held on Tuesday 20th November to formally present the 2019 East Campus College Captains, House Captains and the Student Representative Council to their community. The assembly also provided an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements of many students across a raise of activities including Book in a Day, Environment Competition, The Japanese Exchange Program and SIS competitions. The College truly flourishes when students, teachers and parents actively collaborate to support all aspects of College life. Thank you to the many parents who attended the assembly to witness all that is great about our College.  An invitation to attend our campus assemblies is always extended to parents and guardians, we want you to feel welcomed as you are a vital and critical part of our community. Dates are published on our Facebook page and in newsletters for your reference.

Head Start - Leaving Year 9 - What Next?

"Transitioning from Year 9 to Year 10 is a strange feeling. I have the feeling of excitement and the normal jitters of moving up, yet I can’t help but feel nostalgic of my time in the Year 9 building. I feel like a fish out of water as I’ve grown comfortable being able to see everyone in my year level around me all the time. Being in the Year 9 Program brought my classmates and I closer— it felt like a big family that I could always rely on. I will admit I will miss the Monday morning briefings, the collaboration spaces and most importantly the Year 9 teachers. They’re the people who made this all come together. I wish I told them this more often, but I think they make a great team. It’s not easy creating something new and they deserve more credit. To Mr Green, Mr Ling, Ms Roberts, Mr S, Ms Johnson and of course, Stewie: thank you! Lastly, I’ve only been in Year 10 for a few days but I’m very excited for what’s to come. This year flew by and I’ll cherish the memories! With every year that passes by, I like to step up my game and Year 10 will be no different. I can’t wait!"
