ATTENDANCE PROCESS

If your child is absent please login to compass and report the absence OR call the attendance line at each campus.

To avoid unnecessary delays when collecting your child for a medical appointment please ensure a signed and dated note is handed to their teacher in the class they will leave from. All students must sign out at the front office as well before they depart.

COMMUNICATION

The most efficient way to contact us if you have a specific question about your child’s learning or their welfare at school is to search for your child’s Learning Mentor in Compass and email them directly. The Learning Mentor will then respond via email or phone. Please note our response policy:

 

"Staff at Rowville Secondary College will endeavour to respond to parent emails within 24 – 48 hours. However, staff are not expected to respond in this timeframe during weekends and term breaks."

The canteen is open everyday.

  • Eastern Campus 7.45am – 3.30pm
  • Western Campus 8.30am – 2.00pm

Qkr!

Our Cafe at the East and West are now offering lunch orders using Qkr! This is available for all students and staff, so you can order and pay for your school lunch prior to 9.00am on the day without bringing cash to school.  Click here for instructions on how to download and use Qkr!

LIBRARY

There is a library on each campus, where students can study, borrow books and equipment, socialise at lunchtime and use the computers. 

Open 8.00am - 4.00pm each day.

PATHWAYS

At Rowville Secondary College, we understand and recognise the diverse needs of each student and their individual future aspirations and direction. The college provides a variety of pathways students are able to undertake, including:

  • VCE – Victorian Certificate of Education
  • VCAL – Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning
  • SBAT – School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships
  • VET – Vocational Education and Training.

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PROGRAM

All students at Rowville Secondary College have the opportunity to learn an instrument. "Music provides so many possibilities to empower students and allow them to collaborate and express themselves",  Director of Music, RSC.
