MY CAREER EXPERIENCES

I worked in Public Relations and Event Management straight after finishing University.  Then worked as a vet nurse for a few years.

After having my two boys I worked as a Teacher’s Aide and then returned to University to study teaching. I have worked at Boorowa Central School for 9 years.

WHY I BECAME A TEACHER

After trying a few career paths when I became a Teacher’s Aide I found that working with children was the thing that I loved, so I went back to uni to become a teacher. There is not a day that goes by that I ever think about doing anything else!

FAVOURITE TEACHING SUCCESSES

WHY I LOVE TEACHING AT BCS

SOMETHING YOU DO NOT KNOW ABOUT ME

Every day brings a smile to my face, especially working with Kindergarten students, their enthusiasm and cuteness is bountiful.  My favourite teaching success is when a student who I taught in Kindy, Yr 1 or Year 2 and is now in High School says ‘Hi Mrs Proudford’ or stops to have a talk.

We know every student. We have great students, great staff, great families and a great community.

I once had to climb a tree to get away from a wild rhinoceros.
