4/5/6 CAMP Woorabinda 2022

School Camp

This week 46 year 4, 5 and 6 students went to school camp at Woorabinda. Due to CoVid, this was our first school camp since 2019, and for all of our students it was their very first camp. As you could imagine their was much excitement as well as nerves as we got ready for the first day.

Everyone arrived extremely excited and eager to get going. We headed off on the bus and after a short break we arrived after about a two hour journey. The camp started with a bang as we got off the bus, went for a walk and made our own camp fires (in small groups) so we could cook our lunch. Everyone loved it.

We got to camp, set up our rooms and explored. The week was amazing as students had a go at a high ropes courses, zip lining, canoeing, hiking, farm activities and much more.

The enthusiasm and excitement was awesome to see, as well as their support and care for each other. All students showed amazing growth and resilience and we were very proud of their efforts.

Thanks to Mr Duckett, Mrs Mugford, Sam and Anna for their help on the camp it was great to be able to have a school camp again.

The staff / teachers at Woorabinda were fantastic and the food and rooms were great.

We look forward to coming back again next year.
