Performing Arts  Matters

Congratulations to our 2022 HSC Drama class and to their teacher Ms Lindley for completing the performance portion of their exams last Thursday at the Sarto Centre. From all reports the students, both candidates and the audience, conducted themselves in an outstanding manner.

The Music classes have their performances next Tuesday for Music 1 and Thursday for Music 2 students. We wish them well in their final presentations. All groups showed portions of their performances last Thursday at an outstanding Splinters, Splashes, Stage and Sound Showcase in the school band room. Well done to all performing artists.

Congratulations also to Michael Qi of Year 5 on achieving an A+ on his 4th Grade AMEB exam recently.  A marvellous achievement!

Farewell to the Seniors Twilight Concert

This Friday's concert, commencing at 5.30 pm in the school gym, will be a chance to see and hear our Year 12 students for a final time. There will also be a presentation made to our outgoing students on this evening and an address by Mr Couani to these committed students of SPX. There will be parking in the playground and PAPA have generously provided a pizza dinner for those students who are staying back at school. All students will meet with their ensemble directors at 5.00 pm to prepare for the evening. I estimate the concert will be finished by 7.00 pm.

Request from PAPA

If you can get to school at around 4.00 pm/4.30 pm, PAPA would like some extra help feeding the boys and they also require assistance if anyone can stay after the concert to clean up. Please send Michelle Godfrey your availability in an email.

Looking Forward to Friday evening.
