Science Week

Last week was Science Week, with this year’s theme being Glass: more than meets the eye!

To celebrate this wonderful week, Science staff organised a variety of different talks and activities to excite students about science!

Last Monday, Science staff presented a careers talk to students interested in pursuing a career in science. This allowed students to hear about their teacher’s experiences in science and all the different opportunities that a career in science could provide students with.

At lunchtime on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, students were given the opportunity to take part in a variety of glass-themed activities including glass bending and making edible-stained glass (as seen in the pictures below).

In Tutor Group, students got the chance to test their scientific knowledge with Science Kahoots on Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Perception/Illusions. Congratulations to Ms Zammit’s Tutor Group who had the highest overall score in these Kahoots. This Tutor Group will receive a pizza lunch this week.

Thank-you again to all the dedicated Science staff who helped throughout the week, and to all the students/future scientists who took part in these activities.
