This week’s Newsletter has been written by 3/4R students.

In Writing, we did Cinquain poems! They are a type of poem with five lines. We had the option to do Indonesian Day, Science Week, forces (magnetism gravity etc) or on reusable resources!

Written by Parezae and Alice.

In Maths, we were doing BPM (Beats Per Minute) and we all did some challenges and you would have to see how many heartbeats in 10 seconds. We tracked our heartbeat by feeling our heart or wrist or neck. Then we made the times to minutes then hour and guess what Xavier did all the way to a century and it equals to 52,416,000,000 beats. That’s a lot of numbers! This week we were also learning about short division and practised mild, medium and spicy questions.

This week in Reading, we have been focusing on reading poems. The skills we have been focusing on are: keeping your pace, putting expressions, keeping a clear loud voice and so much more! We are also here to talk about the Sorry Day poem that 3/4 classes had read throughout the week, we discovered lots of hard words that we didn’t know so we looked in the dictionary, wrote the meanings in our thinking book and talked about the poem as a class. Thanks for listening bye!!

In Guided Inquiry the 3/4s designed sustainable products. They had to make a sustainable version of a product or make a new product! We began the design process thinking about what renewable resource our item could use. We are excited to make these products using recycled materials.
