David's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

The Specialist Garden is continuing to develop, with a huge help from Tom Rees, dad to three of our students who has skills with, and access to, an earth mover. The next stage is to peg out the paths and get the hard landscaping completed, something I know that Aasta would love to gain support from the community with. the aim is to have the landscaping completed by the time the weather turns to cold and wet, as this is the best time of year for planting and establishment of the garden.

Our community has been coping well with the need to report and log the results of the Rapid Antigen Tests and keep students who have tested positive at home. I know this continues to present some challenges for families, so please reach out to us during these times if there is anything we can do to support. This might range from just needing a chat to having school supplies such as books dropped off on the door step while your child is isolating. The most recent lot of RATs came home last week in student's bags, there are still a number of these that need to be collected from the school office for students who were absent. Please pop in to collect these from the office, or we will place them into your child's bag when they return to school.

School Council Elections will be coming up soon, with a timeframe and call for nominations to come out via Xuno in the coming week. Please keep an eye out for these messages, and if you are keen on joining school council, please chat with Sarah Weston or myself. the role fo school council is to represent the whole community, and so we are particularly keen to hear from Culturally and Linguistically diverse members of our community who are interested in joining the council! We meet twice per term after school, and if you are unable to join these meetings, you might be interested in joining one of our subcommittees.
