LEARNING DISPOSITIONS IN JLA

This term as part of our Inquiry in the JLA, we have been using the provocation 'I never change, I never stay the same.' to explore the concept of identity and community. Through this, we have been further exploring the SJW Learning Dispositions of  Creativity, Collaboration, Curiosity, Risk Taking, and Resilience.

To explore these dispositions, we have looked at different sources for how they show the dispositions and linking these discoveries to our own identity.

We learnt about Jakara Anthony and what strengths she would have needed to embrace and learning dispositions she would have had to have used to earn Australia's first gold medal in 12 years.

We also read the text Matthew's Dream by Leo Lionni and found that artists don't only need the disposition of creativity.

We used this learning to set goals for ourselves to help us become better learners.

JLA1 brainstormed their hopes and dreams for and what learning dispositions they would need to use to achieve these.

JLA2 identified which learning dispositions they already had.

JLA3 set goals for themselves about which learning dispositions they would like to be better at and how they can achieve this.
