ACHIEVEMENTS

News about our Students

Year 9 student Caleb Nissen competed in the World Boxing Council's  inaugural Muay Thai World Youth Games in Canada last month. He was among athletes from 78 countries and territories who travelled to Calgary for the event. The games' aim was to work toward developing this premier fighting art and culture around the world.

We congratulate Caleb on winning bronze for Australia, an excellent result, and we wish him well in future competitions.

We also congratulate talented hockey player Ryan Cartwright (Year 11) after being named in the under-16 All-Australian boys team. He now has the opportunity to participate in the 2023 European Hockey Tour being coached by ex-Olympians Matthew Swann and Michael McCann. Ryan was included in the team after his impressive efforts while playing for the state as co-vice captain in the national championships in Hobart last month. Games were played in pouring rain and freezing temperatures, and his team won silver.

Ryan has been playing hockey since he was five, and competed in the Saints side that won so convincingly against Melbourne Grammar earlier this year. He's a member of the Brothers A-Grade men's side and the under-18 Brothers boys team which takes on Souths in Saturday's grand final.
