Bunnings BBQ

Rowville Primary School has been offered the opportunity to run the BBQ at Bunnings Scoresby on Sunday 27 February 2022. This is a great chance for our school to raise funds to go towards the new outdoor sensory learning space. The BBQ will operate from 9am – 4pm. We are hoping to get volunteers for 2 hour shifts, however any amount of time you can donate is appreciated.If you are able to assist, please email forps@rowvilleps.vic.edu.au  with your name, phone number and availability. 

 

Please note: Volunteers must be fully vaccinated.   

FORPS Meeting - 21 February 2022 

Friends of Rowville Primary School (FORPS) is holding its first meeting for the year on Monday 21 February 2022 at 7.30 pm via Zoom. Please join our meeting from the comfort of your own home.

FORPS is a group of parents and teachers who volunteer their time to run events for the school community. FORPS aims to bring people together and provide opportunities to become involved in school events while developing friendships and providing fun activities for children and adults alike. This has included a Walkathon, Disco, Comedy Night and the Mother’s and Father’s Day Stalls.

 

In 2019, the events run by FORPS generated over $18,000. All funds raised directly benefit the school by improving the quality of resources available to the students. The funds raised by FORPS have contributed to the development of the 21st Century Learning Centre, the canteen refurbishment and outdoor seating for the Kids Cafe. 

 

FORPS are working towards an exciting line up of events for 2022, including a student Disco, Readathon and a Colour Run! We also welcome suggestions for new events, so please come along and share your ideas to help build our school community.

 

We urge you to come to our first meeting for 2022 and find out more about FORPS and how you can be involved. Please also consider nominating for a committee position of President, Secretary, Treasurer or general committee.

You may like to be involved in lots of activities or just one, all help is very welcome.

FORPS

Friends of Rowville Primary School (otherwise known as FORPS) are a group of parents who provide invaluable support to the school in a number of ways, for example:

  • Organise welcome events for new students and parents at the school.
  • Participate in the running of the Second Hand Uniform Shop, Father’s Day and Mother’s Day Stalls.
  • Participate in discussion, plans and activities for fundraising (which require prior approval of School Council). For example, Trivia Nights, Discos, Raffles, The Walkathon, Barbeques.
  • Promote cultural and social diversity by encouraging membership and participation of all parents in FORPS activities.                     

Through participation in FORPS, parents or guardians develop friendships within the school community.
