HSC Textiles and Design and Visual Arts Exhibition
It was wonderful to welcome the community once again openly to the Derek Pigot Auditoriufor the HSC exhibition and parade on Friday 28 July. The exhibition is a momentous celebration of the exceptional talent showcased by the Year 12 students in Visual Arts and Textiles and Design. Vibrant and diverse, the show was a testament to the creativity, dedication, and hard work of these young artists and designers.
The success of this exhibition would not have been possible without the tireless efforts and guidance of the devoted teachers who nurtured these young minds throughout their artistic journeys. Their passion, expertise and encouragement have played a vital role in supporting the students throughout the year. This exhibition was a testament to the transformative power of education and the profound impact teachers, like Mrs Penny Chandler and Mrs Toni Bilton have on students. The breadth of techniques and the skills shown in the works demonstrates countless hours of labour and love.
The evening was catered by the Food Technology and Hospitality students, who spent the week preparing and plating a range of delicious foods that were welcomed by the crowds in attendance.
Thanks also to:

Year 11 PDHPE
This term the Year 11 PDHPE students completed the Provide First Aid course. This course covers a large component of the First Aid option which they study in Preliminary PDHPE. Students engaged in the investigation and practical application of the major assessment and management techniques for the types of injury and medical conditions that require first aid attention. They also explored the cause and symptoms of these main injuries and medical conditions.
Learning Enhancement Team
Every week, the LE Team put their heads together and vote on a Student of the Week. The student is chosen based on observations made by the LE Team, within the week. This week, the title goes to Angus Martin (Year 10) for the kindness and gratitude he shows towards all staff and students. He is a delight to be around and his inquisitive nature makes for some very interesting chats! Keep up the good work, Angus!
