Road Safety

All families are asked to assist us in keeping our students safe. We have recently had a number of issues with students and families crossing the road in an unsafe manner. Students and families are reminded that the school crossing is the designated area to cross William Street. It is not safe to cross the road elsewhere due to the high volume of traffic and limited visibility around parked vehicles. 

When using the school crossing students and families are asked to remember the following -

• wait for the school crossing supervisor to blow the whistle before crossing
• no running
• no bouncing of balls near the road or whilst using the crossing
• walk between the white lines at all times while using the crossing

The pedestrian entrances to the school are both near the playground. Pedestrians are not to use the entrance through the staff car park at the southern end of the school due to the ongoing works and safety concerns.
