Sydney East Athletics Carnival

On Wednesday 11th October, 5 students from Peakhurst Public School were part of the 94 students who represented the Georges River PSSA at the Sydney East athletics carnival held at Sydney Olympic Park. Tamina M, Alexis L, Olivia X, Farah F and Angus H participated in a number of events including the 100m, relay, shot put and discus. 

All students participated against some tough competition and with great sportsmanship, with Farah placing an incredible 5th in the Girls 8 year old 100m finals and Angus placing a fantastic 4th in the Boys 11 year olds shot put. These results unfortunately do not qualify them for the NSW championships. 

Congratulations to all students on an outstanding effort.
