Congratulations to the Prep class of 2023 on reaching their first 100 days of school! This was a very special morning, with the Seniors joining them as they too celebrated their last 100 days of school.
This is a friendly reminder that Grandparents' Day is tomorrow. We are looking forward to welcoming you for this special celebration.
Location and Entry
Parking is available via our GATE 4 – BAYVIEW TERRACE entrance (please refer to our College Map), as well as within the streets surrounding the College.
We will have staff and students to help direct our guests to the following spaces to commence the morning’s program:
Pre-Prep Grandparents
10:00am to 10:30am – Class activities in the Pre-Prep classroom
10:30am to 10:50am – Morning tea in the Pre-Prep area
11:00am to 11:30am - Primary Music Performance in the Assembly Hall
Prep to Year 2 Grandparents
10:00am to 10:20am – Morning Tea in Leopard Terrace
10:20am to 10:50am – Class activities in core classrooms
11:00am to 11:30am - Primary Music Performance in the Assembly Hall
Year 3 to Year 5 Grandparents
10:00am to 10:20am – Morning Tea in the Amphitheatre
10:20am to 10:50am – Class activities in core classrooms
11:00am to 11:30am - Primary Music Performance in the Assembly Hall
Year 6 Grandparents
10:00am to 10:20am – Morning Tea in the Year 6 Courtyard

What to Bring
We will be providing morning tea for our special guests! Students are required to bring their morning tea.
We look forward to our much-loved Book Week Character Parade for Pre-Prep to Year 6 on Friday 18 August. Students may come dressed as their favourite book character (closed in footwear, appropriate for the playground must be worn). If students have HPE on that day, please bring your sports uniform.
Book Week Character Parade Pre-Prep to Year 6
9:00am – 9:40am, Assembly Hall (Families are welcome)
We are delighted to welcome author Charlotte Barkla as our Book Week presenter. Charlotte is a Brisbane-based writer who worked as a civil engineer and physics teacher before following her passion for writing picture books and middle grade fiction.
She is excited to be sharing her passions for science, creativity and writing with our students. Charlotte will spend Monday 21 August with Prep to Year 3 classes, and on Tuesday 22 August will workshop with the Years 4 to 6 classes.
‘Click & Collect!’ - Should you wish to pre-order signed copies of Charlotte’s books, please click on the link in the attached flyer and follow the directions below:
1. Orders for this event must be placed by Monday 14 August.
2. In the Shopping Cart please be sure to add Child’s Name and Class in the Click & Collect Information field.
3. At checkout select Click & Collect as your Shipping Method.
4. Choose Clayfield College from the list of schools.
5. Collect your order at the event. here will be an opportunity for you to pre-purchase.
