From the Principal

During a meeting two weeks ago, I was asked for my opinion about the future of Australia when the leaders of the country are our current students. My response was that I am extremely optimistic as I believe that young people are positive and resilient, and this has been clearly shown during this current pandemic.

Our students have understandably been concerned and disappointed that they are missing opportunities and activities that they would normally be involved in. Many of them have family members or friends who are in high risk categories for COVID. However, we have seen many of them continue to demonstrate regular concern for their families, each other and the wider community. They are determined to make the most of what is possible, they look for opportunities to support others and consider ways to add a little brightness to the day.

As parents of these young people you would experience their positivity and resilience also. It is a credit to families that, even though things are challenging and young people are constantly hearing words such as ‘unprecedented’ along with recession, economic disaster and being aware of daily counts of illness and/or death, they are able to demonstrate sympathy and compassion while being agile and flexible to find a way through.

The future is in strong hands and it is a great privilege to be involved with families to help build the strong foundations from which our students will build and create their future.

COVID Update

We continue to work with NSW Health authorities and Service NSW to enable students and staff to travel to school. Today we have been notified that changes to the border permit have been made and we are working through the implications of these changes.

We will do everything possible to ensure students are all able to continue to engage in education either at school or from home.

We will send more details and information to families as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continuing support.
