During home learning students watched Alexandra make edible slime and then had a go at making their own. They used their 5 senses to describe what they could see, feel, smell, taste and hear. Katelin and Zara made edible marshmallow slime and Maxie made edible chocolate slime! They all did an amazing job, well done everyone!
3/4 News
This term Denise and I have been having ICT Google Meets to help the students understand how to navigate around the Google Classroom and using Google Drive.
We have been working on making new folders and new documents in the folders, as well as making tables in documents. These meetings are recorded for students to refer to at a later stage, when they need to do this type of task again. We have also recorded how to find a previous day's lesson by going to the classwork and topic, this allows the students to find these recordings to help them throughout remote learning.
From next week there will be allocated times when the students can come online to chat and catch-up with their friends. We will be introducing more social interaction for the students, which will be in the line of classroom chats, extra time at the end of Google Meets for the students to socialise, as well as possible extra meets specifically for socialisation. Look at the timetable when it's posted on Friday to find out the details.

During Music for the past 2 weeks, the students in 5/6 have been learning about Hip Hop Slogans & rapping. It has been challenging and quite different from when we get to work together in the Music Room - but they have come up with some really creative raps. Here is a sample of just a few of them. We have some serious talent in the 5/6 area!

Game time, more time, have some fun, aim for the victory, it's my prime time.
Monopoly, uno, Invite the crew for some fun to enjoy for everyone.
Think hard, think slow, my head is overloaded, too many options, too many choices, what shall I do? Deck the cards, end the game... but then again it's all the same.
I came to win not lose.
Rhyming, Styling, Gaming, Praying for sweet victory, I know it’s contradictory to rap this song about victory.
Win or lose it's all the same because it's just a game, so let's all just have some fun because it's game time!

Lockdown
Lockdown, bad, but no need to frown; it’s lockdown. Yeah, yeah, it’s lockdown…... Lockdown...
Fun can be using chalk on the sidewalk, yeah…. lockdown… yeah, yeah, it’s lockdown!
Lockdown might not be the best, but when it’s done, we can go to that fest…. Lockdown...
