Year 8 Game Design
Our Year 8 students have been hard at work developing their game design skills using 'Scratch'.
Each student created an original spin on a maze game using hand drawn sprites (characters) and animation. They programmed the games using 'Scratch' to make them interactive and some students even added advanced features such as music and sound effects, scoring, timers, new levels, enemies and items to collect.
Enjoy some of these great variations of the 'Maze Game' programmed by our Year 8s.
Note: these work best on a PC rather than a mobile device

Year 10 Programming, Gaming, Web Design (PGW)
Semester 2 marks the start of our Year 10 DigiTech elective, Programming, Gaming and Webdesign. (PGW).
This is a very practical subject which sees students using electronic hardware such as Micro:bits. To enable this to be remote learning friendly, Ms Vella has been assembling ‘Python packs’ for each student to take home so they can still work with these technologies.
We can’t wait to see what the students will program/invent!
