Information and Software Technology

Course Description

People will require highly developed levels of computing and technology literacy for their future lives, the course introduces students to the potential, limitations and implications of information and software technologies.

Information Software and Technology is an exciting and challenging course, designed to develop students’ knowledge, confidence and creativity in designing, analysing, developing and evaluating information technology solutions.

The content to be covered in this course is integrated into a series of projects. The projects have been designed to have an emphasis on problem solving, teamwork and creativity.

Students will be presented with a problem to be solved. They will be required to explore a range of possible solutions and use their creativity to produce a full working solution. They will use a variety of infrastructure and software technologies to create, modify and produce products in a range of digital media formats.
