Message from the Principal

Welcome to Week 4 Term 3

Although this week saw us all adjust to more restrictions, life at school (whether physically at home or school) has continued and is a good reminder for us to find time to celebrate the small things. Students in Foundation to Grade 2 have all held class celebrations this week.

This week Grades Foundation/1 students have celebrated 100 days of learning. And what a 100 days it has been! What flexibility and resilience they have shown!

All week they have been completing different tasks - they made a cake, and cards and also monsters with 100 body parts, and also completed 100 exercises. What a lot of counting!

Grades 1/2R and 2C  held a virtual class birthday party  for 12 children across the grades who had recently celebrated birthdays. As part of their Literacy tasks over the last week, students followed instructions to make animal masks and paper napkins which were used at the class party.

Closure Day

Just a reminder that we have a school closure day on Monday 10 August. On this day all staff will be involved in professional learning. Teachers will not be posting any work, will not be available to contact and there will be no supervision at school. Camp Australia will be running a program on this day for those who need it. It is not too late to register!

New regulations for attendance at  Camp Australia and school

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has announced that only the children of permitted workers and vulnerable children will be able to access childcare during the current Victorian restriction period. This also includes families that are working from home in permitted industries.

From 11:59 pm on Wednesday, 5th August, families will need to obtain one of two permits, signed by their employer, in order to attend Outside School Hours Care:

  • If required to attend work onsite, they will need a Permitted Worker Permit (including childcare).
  • If working from home, and needing access to childcare, they will need an Access to Onsite Childcare/Kindergarten Permit.

As a school we are also requesting a copy of a Permitted Worker Permit if children are completing their remote learning at school.
