SACCSS Cricket

The start of the SACCSS season has begun with the College Cricket Team playing their first two games. We have started the season undefeated winning both games against St Monica’s and Marymede and will look to continue this form against Kolbe and Caroline Chisholm.

The first game saw us travel to St Monica’s posting an impressive 121 off 20 overs with Tristan Borg starring with the bat scoring an undefeated 50 not out, well-done Tristan! The boys backed up the performance with the ball restricting St Monica’s to 112 off their 20 overs.

The second game saw the boys come up against Marymede bowling them out for 96 runs inside of 20 overs. Co-Captain Bailey Blackman took 4 wickets for 7 runs off his 4 overs to restrict Marymede. After a slow start with the bat the boys took the chase down to the final over needing 5 runs.  However only 2 balls were required as Tristan Borg hit a 4 to win the game finishing 36 not out and carrying his bat through the innings.

We look forward to the next two games and will look to progress through to the grand final.
