A Note from Winton’s Sport’s Captain

The first term of Cluster Sports has already seen many ups and downs. The first term sport chosen kickball, has already seen some close, and convincing wins. Winton, the former back-to-back champions of the famous O'Riley Shield are determined to get another win. The first week saw Winton overpower Truganini with a very convincing win. After a week break, Winton went into their next match-up,against Mackillop full of confidence. After a competitive day, Winton lost by a shattering six goals.

A new system has been brought into the race towards the O'Riley Shield. The new Cluster Spirit award will be awarded to the team that shows the most spirit on the day. It emphasises the importance of participation, encouragement, fair play, being humble in wins but also be accepting in losses. Spirit points will be awarded to those deserving on the day.
