News from our Classrooms

Foundation News

This is the final Foundation report for the 2019 school year. I can’t believe that the year is coming to an end with only a few days remaining!

Congratulations to the 2019 Foundation students for completing a fantastic year of learning. They should be very proud of the way they have constantly followed the St Fidelis agreed ways in the classroom and out in the playground. Each student has enthusiastically participated in a variety of learning activities and challenged themselves to learn many new tasks over the course of the year. It has been a pleasure getting to know and work with your child during 2019.

Thank you to the many parents who have assisted in the classrooms and joined us on our excursions during the year. Your presence is very much valued by the teachers and students.

On behalf of Edwina, Santina and myself, I wish you all the blessings of the Christmas season and hope that you and your family have a restful and safe holiday break.

Regards, Leanne Wenckowski  (Foundation Coordinator)

Well done on a wonderful year of learning and fun in the 1/2 classrooms.  It has been great to see all students grow academically, spiritually and physically during the year.

Congratulations to the Year 2 students who recently received the Sacrament of Reconciliation, may they continue their journey to get closer to God.

Year 3/4 News

Dear 3/4LM Family,

What a wonderful year of learning we have had together! I would like to start by thanking all the students in my class for their continuous hard work and positive attitude towards school life. It has been an absolute pleasure having the privilege of educating these 23 exceptional students and watching them grow into confident and independent learners.

A big thank you to my 3/4 parents who have been a constant support to me as a teacher and who have helped to assist their child’s learning in so many ways.

3/4LM have learned, laughed and had an absolute blast together! I wish all my students much success for the remainder of their journey at St Fidelis. Always reach for the stars and never stop shining bright!

Thank you, Laura Munari

Dear 3/4BF Families,

I would just like to say a big THANK YOU for an amazing year! I could not have asked for a better group of students  to share my first year of teaching with. Together we laughed, we explored, we created and we grew! I am grateful to have met so many wonderful families along the way, it has made this year one to remember!

I wish the students much happiness and success for the remainder of their schooling at St Fidelis.

Thank you,  Belinda Filippone

Dear 3/4KD Families,

It’s been such an incredible journey this year! 3/4KD collaborated and had a wonderful year of learning “together”. We have shared many wonderful memories and have also had so much fun learning and laughing.

To my students, I’ve watched you all grow and I’m so super proud and blessed that I was your teacher.   I’ll be cheering you all on as you continue with your learning journey at St. Fidelis school.

To my parents, a very big thank you for all your help. I’m very appreciative of your support and assistance but most of all thank you for sharing your special child with me this school year.

Thank you, Katarina Davidson

Year 5/6 News

What a wonderful year of learning it has been for the Year 5/6 students. We would like to thank them for being focused, persistent and making good choices in following our agreed ways. We have had a terrific and enjoyable year teaching your children and watching them grow and progress.

A reminder that we have the End of Year Mass this Wednesday at 9:15am, followed by the Parent Helpers Morning Tea. It would be great to see parents at our final Mass for 2019.

On Saturday the Year 6 students have their Graduation Mass at 5:30pm. Please arrive a little earlier to be seated before 5:30pm. Students are to sit with their families. This will be followed by a short ceremony in the hall, where students will receive their graduation certificates. Again, students are required to sit with their families. After the ceremony, families that are attending Firenze can head there. The address for Firenze is, 134 McBryde St, Fawkner.

Finally, the 5/6 teachers would like to thank you for your on-going support this year and in the past. As you know, you are the first educators of your children and without your encouragement and engagement with us, our job would not be as rewarding and enjoyable.

Have a joyous Christmas with your families and a safe and relaxing Summer break.

Kind Regards,

Tania Fragopoulos, Michelle Casamento, Michael Jennings, Mark MacGregor and Graham Troy.
