UNE Open Day - Cancelled

News was received from UNE this week that the UNE Open Day, scheduled for Friday, 8 May 2020 has been cancelled due to the Corona Virus (Covid19) alert.

Students can still contact the UNE to arrange for an individual tour. More information regarding UNE can also be collected from our careers adviser Mrs Glenda Lemon in the College library and learning centre.

Free access to World Book online!

Students can access World Book Encyclopedia online.  The subscription has been covered, so it is free to access for students and staff of the College.

To access:

Via our school website www.oconnor.nsw.edu.au,  go to Parent Student Information > Student Information > Oliver. Oliver is the Library catalogue. Once you get to Oliver, the final step is to click or 'Orbit' which is a button at the top right corner and then the link to 'World Book Online'.  Happy researching!

Moratorium on Overdue Library Books

The school library is welcoming any old library books that may be hidden in the rooms of our College students. Please feel free to return them even if they have been at home for a couple of years! It will help keep class sets of textbooks complete, and maintain our range of  fiction and non-fiction books in hardcopy. They can be dropped into the College Office or the Library Learning Centre.

E-Books

Supplementing the College library's hard copy book collection,  students have access to over 2000 e-books (electronic books) through our online library catalogue.

It is as easy as going to the following link:

https://library.arm.catholic.edu.au/oliver/home/browse/list

This can also  be found on the College webpage in the 'student links' dropdown menu. The Catalogue is called 'Oliver'.

If they are not already logged into the CSO Portal, there will be a prompt to login to the CE-NET Authentication Portal (CSO Firewall). Students can either search 'e book' in the search box or, search a book directly.

Explore CSU Day

It’s a day of discovery for students in Years 10 to 12. They can come and learn about uni life. Meet lecturers and students. Check out the campus, classrooms and facilities. Take an accommodation tour and get their questions answered at the info hub. The best bit? They’ll get hands-on in an area of study – or two – that interests them.
