Middle Sub School

Middle Sub School is very pleased to announce that so far this term there has been 456 STARR Awards awarded to students in both Year 9 and 10 for exemplifying the college values of Success, Teamwork, Ambition, Respect and Responsibility. The following Year 9 and 10 students received a canteen voucher for having their name drawn in the year level assembly STARR Award draw prize. Congratulations to Kiana and Alunga!

Middle sub school continues to encourage all students to strive to do their very best in all aspects of their college life by ensuring that each student is on time to class, wearing the correct uniform and has the necessary equipment for each class. If a student is requiring extra learning support, remember you can attend homework club or study hall to receive this additional support.

 It is a very exciting time coming up for Year 10s who are planning their work experience placement to commence in term two, please communicate with the careers office to help you.

High Achiever Profile

Achievements: 2017 STARR of VCAL Award, Lead role in organising the great Umu, a Samoan BBQ for the whole school to enjoy.

Jacob is studying a Senior VCAL course while completing Engineering VET Studies to compliment his Electrical VET last year.

Jacob has work experience at Bunnings and Lazy Moe’s restaurant, and would like to learn a trade in the army next year.

Jacob’s advice: Believe in yourself, pursue your passions and ‘be comfortable in the uncomfortable’

Study Tips: Make the most of the free Headstart and Revision lectures every holidays. Don’t use class time to learn the content. Come to class prepared so you can use class time for consolidation and clarification only.
