Principal's Report
Welcome to 2019
Happy New Year to all Marlborough families and welcome to those who have just joined our school community. I hope you have all enjoyed a nice summer with your families and are refreshed and ready for a big school year ahead. As a staff we are excited about working together to ensure every student have a great year of learning, personal development and has a lot of fun at school.
Canteen and Lunch Orders
Canteen and Lunch Orders will start from next week. Canteen and Lunch Orders will be available on Fridays each week starting from Friday 15th February.
The canteen will be open at recess each Friday and will be staffed by volunteers and a roster of Yr 6 students.
Lunch Orders will only be available to order through COMPASS. Please see the attached documents below for ordering lunch orders through COMPASS and how to top up your COMPASS balance. If you have any difficulties in using the ordering system, please come and see our office staff, who will be happy to show you how to use it.
Parent-Teacher Interviews and Reports
As mentioned in the newsletter last year, we have decided to space out our Semester Reports and Parent-Teacher Interviews this year, so there are regular times throughout the year that you will provided with feedback about how your child is going.
We will have Parent-Teacher interviews at the end of Term 1 and 3. We will have Semester Reports at the end of Term 2 and 4.
As well as this formal feedback, teachers will regularly be in touch with families in regards to your child's progress and you are more than welcome to make a time to chat to your child's teacher at any time during the year.
Congratulations Bonny
We are very proud to announce that our PE teacher, Bonny Chisholm, has recently received two awards for her outstanding teaching.
School Sports Victoria in combination with the Department of Education and Training (DET) selected Bonny to receive an Outstanding Teacher Contribution Award.
Bonny has also been nominated by Cricket Victoria to receive Cricket Victoria's Outstanding School Ambassador Award.
Well done Bonny, these awards are well deserved and we are lucky to have such an outstanidng PE teacher at our school.
