Principal's News

A Message from Leuven Belgium

Enjoying my time here with the Catholic Ed Study group ( 31 from across Victoria attending).  Lectures have been terrific with modern theologians.  Hearing from contemporary smart lectures is wonderful and a breath of air to enhance our schools in a critical way.  Architecture is unbelievable and the  days are full with prayer early, followed by lectures across the city (as this is a University city) and liturgies in some great spaces. We have visited schools in Ghent, visited Ypres and Brugge to capture our history.

I am so grateful and blessed to have this opportunity.

Morning Tea at D'Arenberg Castle after one of the morning lectures.  Obviously far more space in this staff room!

Dear Parents,

Another reminder to keep our children safe by observing and respecting 2 minute parking zones

and again,  children should not be at school until 8:40 am.

There is no supervision prior to this time for your children. There is an increasing number of children sitting and playing in the school grounds unsupervised.  Teachers are often in meetings before school and it is important that children are monitored in the playground as part of our duty of care.  We do have a before school supervision arrangement with OSHClub, which parents can book into to ensure school safety.

As previously advertised, the final day of Term 3 is next Thursday 20 September and school will finish at 3:30pm.   It is not yet confirmed that OSHClub will be available on the Friday, as they have yet to receive the required number of bookings to run.

Term 4 will commence Monday 8th October and

that is when students transition from Winter to Summer Uniform.

They have the option of wearing either Winter or Summer in the first two weeks of term, then it is mandatory for students to wear the Summer Uniform with Hat commencing Week 3,  Monday 22 October.

Also as the warmer weather approaches, please do not forget to apply sunscreen to your child at the commencement of each school day.

The annual Swimming Program will run from Monday 19 November to Wednesday 28 November,  concluding with the St James Swimming Carnival on Thursday 29 November.

Further information will be forwarded next term, but prior to advising exact timings,  each class travel by bus to attend 40 minute sessions at SwimRight Sandringham from 8:30am - 12:30pm (Eldest to Youngest).

School Fees

The final instalment of 2018 School Fees is due tomorrow, Friday 14th September.
