JUNIOR SCHOOL MINI OLYMPIAD DAY

On Friday 28 October the Prep-Year 3 students had a wonderful day celebrating Junior Athletics and Mini Olympiad Day. The weather was just perfect and the students enjoyed participating in many fun sporting activities.

A big thank you to Mr. Farmer, teachers, Year 6 students and parent helpers on the day for making it such an enjoyable and successful event and for supporting our students.

Congratulations to Jade Y in Prep J for raising the most sponsorship money for this fundraising event. Jade is rewarded with a fantastic prize of a Rebel Sports voucher.

CHOCOLATE DRIVE

REMINDER: If you have not already done so please return your chocolate drive fundraising money in the envelope provided to the school office ASAP.

RECYCLING FUNDRAISER

This year we have a new fundraising activity that consists of recycling unwanted goods. It is called Recycle With Mondo for a Better World. The program involves families within the school community donating any unwanted clothes, accessories, shoes, toys and linen to the school. These items are then placed in special collection bins and our school will be paid $250 per tonne for each clothing recycling collection. The benefit of this program is that it reduces waste to landfill and provides global communities with affordable clothing and employment. So now is a great time to clean out your wardrobes for this great cause and help our school raise some extra funds. This fundraising activity will run throughout the entire year. Our final and last collection date for this year  will be Friday 16 December . Specially marked bins are located in the office.

SECOND HAND UNIFORM STALL

We will be having our final Second Hand Uniform Stall for this year on Friday 25 November from 8.45am - 9.15am in front of the school library. All Second Hand Uniform items are $5 each. If you have any second hand uniforms that you no longer use and that are in good, clean condition you can donate them to the school office before Friday 25 November.

TWILIGHT MARKET NIGHT

JPPC will be organising a special Twilight Market on Thursday 8 December in the school grounds. We are seeking people who woud be interested in selling their handmade goods at the market. The market will based on locally handmade and produced products that are made by talented artists and craftsman. This is a fantastic opportunity to sell your handmade items to the public for Christmas. Stall space will be $20 BYO table or $25 with a table provided by the school. Ideally we are seeking a wide range of products from crafts to baked goods and also locally grown items.

If you or if you know of someone who is creative and talented and wanting to sell their goods please contact me as soon as possible.

You can email (anikorte@optusnet.com.au) with your name and details and what type of products you will be selling (a good idea would be to send a photo of a sample of products).

The Jells Park Parents Committee email address is parentcommittee@jpps.vic.edu.au

I can also be contacted on 0434146228 or anikorte@optusnet.com.au if anyone has any further queries.
