Sport Report
The School year has come to an end, and so has the Vista competition for 2018. At the completion of the Term 4 Vista Basketball competition, the Division 1 boys won three out of their last four games and developed their skills and team work. The Division 2 team did not have as much success, finishing their season with losses against Modbury and Avenues College. Both teams are looking forward to continuing to participate in SACSA and Vista Carnivals in 2019, where they hope to improve on their achievements.
The 2019 Sports Calendar starts early in Term 1 with the College Swimming Carnival to be held on Monday 11 February, Week 3 at the Adelaide Aquatic Centre in North Adelaide. The day will include a number of competitive swimming events and novelty games for students to earn points for their Village. Students are encouraged to dress up in their Village colours and embrace the Village spirit of the day. The aquatic centre requests students not to dye their hair or use crepe paper in their decorations.
The College Athletics Carnival will also be held in Term 1 at the SA Athletics Stadium (formerly SANTOS Stadium) on Wednesday 20 February, Week 4. Students are encouraged to dress up in Village colours for this event also.
Students will need to complete the online nomination form for both events; this was emailed to them during Care Group in Week 8. The nomination forms allow students to enter as many events as they would like and also volunteer to be a student helper on the day. Students will receive Village points for their achievements in events and for being a student helper on the day. Students will have an opportunity to review their nominations in Care Group in Term 1 and make any necessary changes. The due date to complete this form for new and continuing students will be Monday 14 January 2019.
Congratulations to all the students who participated in Sport at Endeavour College in 2018, engaging in good spirited competition and demonstrating both courage and determination. Thank you to parents, coaches and umpires for investing their time and expertise into the College’s sporting program. We look forward to 2019 with the hope of further success for our students and their sporting achievements here at Endeavour College.

SAPSASA Sport
In Week 7, four of our students participated as part of the SAPSASA District Tennis and Cricket teams. Mitchell Llewellyn was chosen in the Adelaide North East District Cricket team. The team was only able to play 2 games due to wet weather however, Mitchell was still successful making 47 and 40 runs not out, took 3 wickets and 2 catches and was also chosen as captain.
Max Davey, Ethan Wilkins and Jake Thornley were chosen as part of the Adelaide North East District Tennis team. They also had some games cancelled due to wet weather but still showed determination, skill and sportsmanship.
We would like to congratulate Mitchell, Ethan, Max and Jake for being chosen to represent the Adelaide North East District.

We would like to especially thank, Mandy Weller, Katie Wyatt, Rob Aitchison, Lachlan Koch, Jo Koch, Tom Davidson, Jenny Peel and Leanne Ridsdale for their time and expertise in supporting our Community Sport Program.
