Years 7, 8 and 9 STEM Club

Next week we will be launching our new and improved STEM Club, which is designed to engage boys in Years 7, 8 and 9 who have a keen interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. These sessions will be run on Tuesday afternoons fortnightly from 3:15pm – 4:30pm in Physics 1. The activities have been designed to engage our students further in this field, linking with real-world concepts in a fun and innovative way. Next week we will be running a session that will highlight global resource distribution. Students will be allocated to different countries around the world and will be invited to design and build a water filtration device, keeping in mind the availability of resources and wealth. We will explore the unevenness of access to clean water around the world. We have sent invitations via email to some students in these year groups who have demonstrated interest in the area of STEM; however, if your son is also interested, please complete the following form.
