Year 7 Camp
In Week 4, 8 houses worth of excited and enthusiastic Year 7 students embarked on the Year 7 camp. Much singing and chatter filled the buses on our way up to Maranatha Camp in Yandina. The boys were able to participate in a vast array of fun, challenging, age-appropriate activities such as mid-ropes, pool sports, rocket ball, archery and more. I was so impressed with the level of engagement, camaraderie and passion on display from each house as they moved from event to event. It was a fantastic opportunity for our Year 7 students to get to know one another in a social setting and build some positive house spirit. A sincere thank you to the Heads of House and teaching staff who attended the camp – their contributions and support of our boys is, and continues to be, invaluable. If your son happened to return home with some missing items – there is a lost property collection at Student Admin. Overall, the camp was a riveting success and I am encouraged to see how well the Year Group has started the year and look forward to watching them grow and mature throughout the year.
