Year 5 have had an excellent start to the term in all learning areas. 

In history we have been looking at our connection to different places in the world. One of our favourite activities was finding, pinning and discussing the countries we have a strong connection with on a world map. 

We have also been acknowledging the traditional owners of the land by learning about the significance of acknowledgement of country and adding our own to our classroom routines.

We had a terrific math lesson that includes solving a problem by collaborating, questioning, and visualising. We now know how many carpet tiles principal Sarah would need to buy to refurbish the classroom!
