Year 7 & 8 Drama

Year 7 Drama classes have started with enthusiasm, energy and creativity. Students have worked as an ensemble to engage in drama games and improvisations. They have devised entertaining performances exploring the elements of drama, such as roles and relationships, space, movement, tension and focus. Students participate both as actors and audience, giving constructive, positive feedback to create a safe drama space. What a fun way to kick off their Drama experience in High School!

The Year 8 Drama class has started the year creatively in Unit 1: A Deep Dive into Drama,  exploring ensemble in improvisation activities to revise the drama toolbox of elements of drama.  Students have viewed professional performances to analyse and write responses about the effectiveness of the performance and devised their own scenarios. This week the class started play-reading the set Realism script So Much to Tell You. Here are a few photos from their classes this week!
