Term 2 Sport

We have had a busy start to Term 2 with many students proudly representing the College at the NCD Cross Country, LMR Badminton & LMR Football.

NCD Cross Country

Congratulations to all participants who competed in St Arnaud, many runners ran PB's for the course to which 20 students qualified to compete in the LMR Cross country in two weeks.

LMR Badminton

On Monday, the College had 4 teams enter in the Intermediate & Senior Male & Female LMR Badminton held at the Eaglehawk Badminton Stadium. The Intermediate girls finished 2nd against the undefeated Weeroona and the Senior boys had a fiery clash against Bendigo Senior for top spot who also finished 2nd.

LMR Football

Today, the College has combined with Wycheproof P-12 College to compete in the Senior Boys LMR football competition in Mildura. The boys left at 6am this morning and will play 4 games across the day.

7-10 PE:

Charlton College Year 7-10 students would like to extend their thanks to the Charlton Golf Club for allowing them to use their facilities during their PE classes across the last two weeks. A big thank you to club volunteers Clinton Olive, Anthony Hargraves, Wendy Laffin and John Headon for coaching the students through how to play a variety of shots on the golf course as well as some golf etiquette.

Buloke Youth Expo

On Tuesday, the Year 9 and 10 students travelled to Birchip for the Youth Health Expo. The session included guest speakers and activities to promote health and wellbeing. During lunch, students participated in a range of exciting tasks, including the popular smoothie bike! We hope the students learnt some valuable information about the consequences of vaping and the importance of building mental fitness. Well done to all students for demonstrating outstanding behaviour throughout the day.

Year 7 Food Technology:

Students have been researching different recipes for their 'Breakfast Challenge' which will take place tomorrow. Over the past 2 weeks they have made a sweet breakfast of pancakes and a savoury breakfast of bacon and eggs with homemade hashbrowns. They also had a little treat from Kylie which was 'Nutella hot chocolate', made in the slow cooker. It was popular among those students with a sweet tooth!
