Music News

Gerry Ciavarella

On behalf of all instrumental music staff welcome to 2023. It’s great to see our young musicians back at school. Lessons have already commenced for existing students and we can’t wait to start our new students who have signed up to play a musical instrument. The instrumental program is growing. We currently have just over 100 students in the program. It’s going to be a great year.

Timetables

All students will receive their term 1 timetable in week 2. Our new enrolments will also have their first lesson in week 2. Staff will notify their teachers to assist them in reading their lesson time on Compass. Students will need to make their way over to the music studio’s which are located in the Art Building. Students can enter via the A1 entry. We look forward to meeting our young musicians for the first time.

Music Information Night

Parents/Carers are invited to a brief meeting to explain the program’s operational features. This will be held on Monday 13th of February 2023 at 6.30pm outside the music Amphitheatre or the College library depending on the weather.  At this meeting, information regarding cost, timetabling and course content will be covered and there will be an opportunity to meet the instrumental music staff. All of our ensembles will be performing on the night. Could students that have enrolled in the program please bring the signed copy of the music agreement of participation to our meeting.

On behalf of all instrumental music staff Kimberley Gardiner, Donna Stemberger and Ryan Lestrange, have a great term.
