Hamish was presented his award by Hon Prof John Brumby AO (In2Science Chair).

We were also awarded the following Finalist awards:

Jaxon Marshall (student) – Outstanding Mentee Award Finalist

Maffra Secondary College – School Engagement Award Finalist

Maffra Secondary College has been an eMentoring partner school since the inception of the regional online mentoring model in 2016. During this time, we have had more than 80 students from Years 7 to 12 involved in the program, giving students the opportunity to connect with university students studying STEM subjects such as: Psychology, Coding, Genetics, Vet Science, Biology, Paramedicine, Engineering, Environmental Science, Neurobiology, Forensic Science, Astronomy, Physics and Maths.

The In2Science eMentoring program runs for 10 weeks. Students meet with a university student via Teams on a weekly basis. University mentors can help students with their school work, show them what it's like to study at university, and chat with students about their STEM.

Any students who may be interested in participating in the In2Science eMentoring program in Semester 1 2023, please speak to Mrs Raine or your Science teacher.
