UNIFORM
At Maffra Secondary College, we are proud of and value our college uniform. Wearing the correct uniform is one of our ‘Expected Behaviours’ and this was something that all students, staff and parents agreed on when we reviewed our expected behaviours. Wearing the correct uniform, creates a sense of belonging and school pride, it is a requirement of entry into our college, and is endorsed by our College Council. As outlined in the College’s Uniform Policy, all students are to wear either the summer, winter or PE uniform in its entirety. This means that students are not allowed to mix and match summer, winter and PE uniform items. Our Year 12 students are permitted to wear the approved Year 12 jumper as an alternative to the College jumper.
KEY UNIFORM ITEMS WHERE CLARIFICATION IS NEEDED:
SHOES - When wearing the PE uniform, students can wear any type / brand of sports shoes.
When wearing our winter or summer uniform, students are to wear black shoes that are flat heeled (no wedges) and should be accompanied with black laces.
HATS- Students are encouraged to wear school hats in the yard, particularly during terms 1 & 4. Navy or white beanies can be worn during terms 2 & 3 however, all hats need to be removed on entering a classroom unless, permission has been sought for medical or religious reasons.
This must be accompanied by a letter from a medical practitioner.
JUMPERS – Navy polar fleece, navy woollen jumpers or the navy PE tracksuit top with the gold piping can be worn over any of our uniforms; summer, winter or PE.
