“On May 26th, Foundation students participate in a Science Incursion titled “Light and Sound”.
They completed many experiments including:
- deciding if materials are transparent, opaque or translucent.
- using torches to make shadows.
- looking through magnifying glasses to see how things change.
- looking through prisms to see rainbows in light.
- using tuning forks to see how sound vibrates.
- using elastic bands to make box guitars and explore how sound moves in waves.
- make a cup and string make noise.
Students had an awesome time and enjoyed each experiment. Students participated in writing and drawing activities to reflect on their learning once they came back to the classroom.”
