College Student Leadership Team

On Monday 14th February, we inducted our 2022 Student Leaders and acknowledged our Peer Support Leaders in an Assembly and pin presentation.

Our College Captains, Taylah B. and Sahil K. and Vice Captains, Amy M. and Noah S. spoke extremely well and told those in attendance what being a Captain meant to them and what they hoped to achieve whilst in this position.

Students were joined by our invited guests;

• 2021 College Captains Ben White and Sarah Herman

Mr Staikos MP, Cr Staikos, Ms Matthews, Mr Collings, Ben White and Sarah Herman congratulated the students on their positions and addressed the students with real-life experiences of what leaders do, how they interact and the expectations of leaders.  All very important messages, which were well received.

To close the ceremony, the audience was treated to a special musical performance from some of our talented music students; Jack W., Louis W. and Keziah H..

Student Leadership Planning Day

On the 25th of February, the Student Leadership Team including College Captains and the School Representative Council (SRC) had their yearly planning day, in which we organised our goals and action plans for the year. 

Our main themes for the year include our school environment, wellbeing, the curriculum and extra-curricular activities. 

After splitting into these groups based on our interests, we brainstormed ideas as to how we can future enhance our school community in our specified area. 

The school provided us with beverages from the local coffee store, the Batch Coffee Roasters and pizza and soft drinks from Dominos for lunch, as well as lollipops. We are extremely grateful for this generous gesture. 

Highlights included getting to know each other through team-building games, such as The Coin Game and working in groups to provide ideas towards the improvement of the school.
