Relay for Life 2022

On the weekend of the 5th March, the Newham Primary School Choir went to Relay For Life in Lancefield and sang 2 songs: “Nowhere Man” and "Wake Me Up”.  We were there to support people affected by cancer. Even though it was sad, it was a great experience and I think we all had a great time.

Before we stepped on stage, I felt really anxious and excited. But when I got on stage and started singing, I felt for all those people affected by cancer. It wasn’t long before a huge smile crept across my face and there was no stopping it. I got a lot of confidence out of it.

I have known some people who have passed away from cancer and it made me proud to support the people who were there and remember those who were not.

Thankyou Mrs Hood for organising this and using your lunchtime to teach us these wonderful songs.
